Dana & Family

You know winter is fast approaching when the sun is setting sooner and the weather drops quicker than a month ago.  But, despite the wind and the cool, breezy air, we had a blast.  Dana and her family were such great people to work with.  They were very easygoing and willing to do a few cute poses for me.  We did a ton of walking around the park, so we were able to enjoy a bit of the scenery as well.  I especially had a great time talking to their 3-year old daughter and allowing her to express her beautiful self.  At first, she was a bit shy, but after a few minutes, we were best friends! Ainsley would dance around the park, posed when I told her to, and was such a great little model!  What a cool way to end a weekend!

Maternity Session: Ashley + Richie + Kai

I had so much fun photographing this family.  The weather was a bit windy and colder than the normal summer days, but when we actually started the session, the sun came bursting through the clouds.  It was meant to be!  We couldn’t have picked a better location for the session, being that Kai was such an active toddler and wanted to run around all day.  The open space was plenty of room for Kai to run.  See Kai run! Ashley and Richie were such an easy going, fun, and awesome couple.  I spent every few minutes laughing at Richie’s comments and his funny facial expressions.  It was definitely a fun session to take part in.  Congrats to the family for their upcoming baby girl! Cannot wait to meet the little one.

One Year + Cake Smash: Saly + Thy + Tate

This little guy has finally turned one.  It has been such an amazing experience to be a part of Tate’s life since he was first born.  He was such a sweet little baby, and an easy one to photography when he was a newborn.  But, as babies grow, they become more active and would not sit still.  Tate wanted to walk all over the grass and was not too happy in the basket.  But, that only made for an amazing photo moment.  He loved the balloon and was excited to play with it throughout the session.  Then, came the wonderfully home-made cake that Saly made for him.  She spent hours in the kitchen baking this sweet little fish-themed cake made of only the best natural and organic ingredients.  To top it off, she made a cute little sign as the cake topper.  And, Tate took his precious time with the cake, slowly savoring the cake.  Ah! Such a fun photo session!

Newborn: Langdon

Langdon was over a month old when I did his newborn session.  He was more interested in being awake during most of the session than sleeping.  So I did a few of the “awake” shots, and once he was finally tired and decided to nap for a few minutes, I managed to get him in the basket.  His parents brought a few goodies to bring to the session including the green handmade knitted blanket and the handmade quilted blanket.  He was such a cutie to work with.

Newborn: Tate

Tate was a few days old when I did his newborn session.  He was a very easy newborn to work with considering he had slept for the entire session!  We decided on the fishing theme since his dad loves fishing.  His mom had handmade (crochet) the red fish on the hook and the fishing hat. It was the perfect fit.  I had such a wonderful time with this lovely baby.  Look forward to seeing him grow up.

One Year Cake Smash: Jordan

When parents say toddlers are active, they are not kidding.  Jordan had recently turned one and his parents wanted to do a cake smash session.  Aside from being the cute toddler that he is, Jordan would not sit or stand still for more than 2 seconds.  He was constantly moving and was full of energy. And that made my job as photographer even more invigorating and that is including the free exercise from running around and chasing a toddler throughout the session.  It was great and my hard work and sweat were well worth it.
